Note to self: stay away from raunchy movies, if at all possible. They're unpleasant and not in the least bit funny.

Our First Backpacking Trip...
...and we hiked in the Sam Houston National Forest. We deserved better for our first trip.
The bugs. The heat. The humidity. The perpetual trees with no view of anything whatsoever in sight.
And we loved it. Even though everything went wrong and the conditions were miserable...we loved it. Therein lies the beauty of backpacking: it thrives on disaster. The more things that go wrong, the more fun you have. It's a beautiful thing for the adventurous in spirit.
